I am still not sure, how long my Livejournal will still stay 'alive', but I have decided to keep posting here at least for the moment because I know, some of my friends are not around/not familiar with Dreamwidth ( Read more... )

Yes things change and we must change with them for better or worst. Glad you are still posting here for a while at least.

Well, I actually feel at home at DW for quite a while already, but LJ ist the place where everything started, and I still refuse to give up this journal. But one can never know... with all whats going on at the moment...

I'm glad you are still posting here for now. Did you know that when you import your LJ to DW you can have the comments imported with the entries?

Yes, I know about the import, and I already did it some years ago, only to save my account. In the meantime, I feel more at home at DW, and only post here a copy of my original posts. This is why I don't want to import my account again because I would be able to save my LJ comments but probably also would double my posts as DW.

If you import your LJ into DW, you have the option to import the comments too.
I was able to import all my entries and comments last week. The people at DW are trying hard to let people import because they know how important it is to us.

It should go over to DW more often. I'll comment there in your journal from now on.

This makes it difficult to import my stuff, because, I guess, it would double my posts at DW?! Maybe I should try to find out.
