I'd suggest the Atomic Fireballs, the Donnas, Smash Mouth (especially Astro Lounge), and Suburban Legends. Based on the songs your brother gave you, you might want to take a look at Nelly Furtado, Sean Paul, Ciara, and maybe the All-American Rejects. Kudos for the No Doubt, but as a tip, stay far away from Gwen Stefani's new album. It's where pop rap goes to die.
