I have to say they learned to shiny to the max from FF12 but the melodrama is killing me. Especially voiced by bad bad English VAs. Its like a spliced FF8 scenario with FF7 char designs (*cough* Lightning *cough*) and good FF12 background shiny.
Did I mention the names are really stupid? They're going for the FF7 naming thing but somehow it rubs me the wrong way.
At least Hope is cute.

FF13 is very shiny and yeah, the names suck. Vanille? Snow? Serah? What kind of parents did they have? It's such a effeminate name for a guy. And her parents probably were reallly bad spellers. And that whole romance thing between Serah and Snow feels so so wrong. It's like watching a 50 year old dating a 12 year old. It's so... icky.
I have a huge girl crush on Lightning. She's so... fierce, I LOVE. And plus, she's probably the most fully clothed female protagonist I've seen so far. I don't care for the VAs as long as it's the story is good, I'm good. I mean, this is like a serious upgrade from the swinging-arms-estrogen-flinging sexed up Yuna we had before. Oh god.
Now... I'm seriously considering getting the game and the console but... moneyyyyyyyyy ;_;, Yes, I'm aware I'm working but... it's so expensive. D:
