A Christmas built on dashed hopes

Edit: I still got stuck in Abilene and won't be back home for Christmas morning, but I called up American Airlines and talked to several different people, and eventually did get a flight sorted for tomorrow. So I don't feel near as bad.. it's not ideal but I don't lose the day all together like I felt like I would.
