I'm not quite sure I understand.

What is a Score, and why was it important to be rid of it?

The Score was what basically controlled everyone in my world. It had predicted everyone's future, and people had grown so used to the score that they lived by it, no matter what it said. If it said there would be a war, then the emperors would make it so that there would be one.

People did not live on their own, follow their own paths. It was foolishness and we tried to break away from it, to destroy the Score.

We were still in the process of fulfilling that plan when I arrived.

However, if what one of the people from my world said is true...then yes, I am going to assume that they did.
