“That’s a very… interesting dream, Yumekai-san,” Watanuki stated, pointing at an ominous black balloon.
“It’s for a special customer. He ain’t got no interest in good dreams, so I raised him a nightmare.” The dream-seller gave the balloon a dubious look before perking up, “Hiruko-han!”
Watanuki turned to see a teenager in a weird coat with a cane and suitcase. The Yumekai bounced over and exchanged the black balloon for a small glass sphere before happily floating off.
“They’re tasty.”
“Huh?” Watanuki started.
“The reason I wanted a nightmare.” Hiruko started walking away. “Nightmares of death are sweetest to me.”
