Our television died last night. I'm guessing that it got tired of showing political coverage and committed seppuku. I can't say that I blame it ( Read more... )

It's really pretty easy as long as you have the internet, lol. Nowadays you can legally (and not so legally) watch pretty much anything that is on TV either at the same time it airs or a little while after. Someone always posts it, either the official website or the fans.

We don't have television right now either, because of a big broo-ha-ha with DirectTV. Satellite is teh suxxors.

This is what I'm hoping, because I know that if I had to pick between internet and tv, it would be internet all the way.

Yay for you tube and bittorent, lol.

Ohnoes, sorry to hear that. And about Tom, too. :(

Too bad you don't live in NYC, cuz usually you can stroll around and find someone's used TV on a street corner. And sometimes, they work!

Heh, that's what we did with our broken tv. (I live on a busy road, and someone picked it up in less than an hour, lol).

Oh Noes!

But thank the gods of YouTube, and NBC finally getting its head out of its ass and actually posting the SNL comedy gold. And you can pause YouTube so if you're playing the drinking games you can sober up a little before you go on.

Oh yes, YouTube ftw (and bittorrent too - yay for nerds!). When I realized I could probably live without cable was when I found out that I could find a bunch of Alton Brown's Good Eats clips on there. And since I think many of the networks now put their episodes on their websites, I'll be able to watch the few other shows that I like.

I'm just hoping that I can find episodes of project runway. That seems to be the hardest at the moment.

Ooo...I saw on a commercial that they're having a multi-season walk-off!

A walk-off! A freakin' walk-off!

Oh how I envy you. Ever since I started in the American Studies program, every single bit of politics is suddenly mandatory viewing for me. Even if they air at 3am local time -_-

Think about pre-ordering a Collector's Edition of Wrath of the Lich King instead, Pris ;)

Oh god... WoW lol. I'm torn between still being burned out, and kind of half assedly wanting to play. I wish I had the time to muck about with it, but at the moment, I really don't (even without tv). :/

WoW's been good for me the past six months. Went from being fresh outta Karazhan to killing Illidan - even with a summer break which meant we had to re-recruit half the raidforce due to people leaving. Of course since patch 3.0.2 last week, every single boss in The Burning Crusade has been nerfed so now we don't even need a full night to clear Black Temple. I'm glad I got some stuff in there when you actually had to work for it, lol.

Rolling a mage was the best choice I made about WoW, the pure DPS classes rock.

Hi. I came over here from allronix1's journal to say that your reply to her post (the one about living a conservative small town) was fourteen kinds of wonderful. I really enjoyed reading it. Thank you.

I'm glad you liked it. I'd just thought I'd share my expierence, because I think this whole city vs rural, red state vs. blue state divide is really sad.
