Fallout: New Vegas

Looks like Fallout: New Vegas is coming out soonish. Is anyone planning on buying it? I haven't heard much about it other than it's buggy as hell (what a shock!) so I'll probably wait until they release a patch and the price drops a bit and finish up other games in the meantime, but I'd love to hear from anyone who is going to or has already ( Read more... )

I'm gonna wait until the price drops as well but I definitely want to play it at some point.

Yeah the price is pretty steep especially considering how buggy the game apparently is. I realize that releasing broken games is part of the Fallout franchise tradition since every singe one of their games have had major bugs, but sixty bucks seems awfully steep to pay for something that broken.

Ooh yes that does look cool. I am disappointed though about the companions and lack of being able to control the better. Making the other party members interesting and usable is one thing the last game totally failed at.

I'm still waiting for the GOTY edition to drop in price before I play it. :( I'm starting to think I'm going to be waiting a long time...

...not that I don't have other games I should be playing. :P

Yeah same here. I have a whole bunch of games I haven't finished or gotten around to playing yet. Of course by that time, DA 2 will be out and maybe even Mass Effect 3, lol.

lol I'm still not sure if I'll actually get around to playing Awakening by the time DA2 comes out. Someone should start a gamers' accountability club so we can get some of these games finished. :P

Yeah obsidian sucks like that, but then the Fallout games have always been buggy. In the first one had a ton of bugs including the car bugging out and appearing in every town. Which was sort of awesome because you had a magic trunk to store things in, but still, pretty freaking inexcusable.

I really need to play the Witcher, especially since it's pretty cheap now on steam.

Sounds wise. It looks like the reports of bugs are getting worse and worse.

Yeah...I would wait.

I have an almost brand new copy of the Witcher you can have if you want. I could not get into it. I know it's translated, but the dialogue is just awful. There's no direction-- I get plopped down in places without any clue on what I'm supposed to be doing. I was running it on a dual core with 4 GB of memory and a upgraded video card, and it still chugged.

And you get trading cards for sleeping with women, no joke. I was done after that, lol.

Wow. A bug that bad right at the beginning of the game? That's unfortunate, and sort of shitty considering how much these games cost.

Sure I'd love a copy of the Witcher. I keep meaning to buy it from steam but get sidetracked. I heard about the trading cards, and I admit that's one of the reasons I've sort of been dragging my feet on the game even though I hear the rest of it's pretty good.
