She's fiscally liberal but socially conservative. Nevertheless, she always votes democrat. I agree that Iraq (and most American interventions spanning the last couple decades) will be viewed in a negative light by future generations. Right now though, there is some kind of anti-secularization movement happening in the U.S. and unfortunately, the Republicans have inflitrated and in many ways co-opted it so that the prevailing sentiment here at home is that a unilateral "war on terror" is "morally" necessary. This shit won't last long, as I now predict the American empire is in steady decline.
