I'm going to a party this year, too :)

I usually attend a party of some sort actually, but they're often a day or so before Halloween itself. Halloween night we tend to ignore, and we hardly ever get any trick or treaters anymore, so it's easy to do so!

I usually ignore Halloween. The last time I celebrated it, I was 14, and that was ten years ago. If I ever have children, though, I'll dress them up in cute little costumes and take them trick-or-treating...

I guess it is more of an early teen thing, isn't it, really? I was a lot more 'in' to it when I was 13/14.

Aww, that'd be sweet! My dad doesn't particularly agree with trick or treating, but he did take my brother and me once :) I s'pose it was for the experience :)

Yeah, Halloween was never particularly celebrated here before, especially when my parents were younger. I agree, it is more of an American thing really. Oh, and I also agree about people coming round not bothering to dress up, just wanting money or sweets! My dad claims it's more or less begging.

For me, it's just an excuse to celebrate and dress up weirdly! :p

It's not just an American thing -- Halloween is big in Canada too! So I guess you could say it's a North American thing...

I never used to celebrate it, in fact i dont think i've ever actually beeeen trick or treating :( but i have been to a party :) and carved pumpkins out almost every year (we used to grow our own in the garden)

i do like celebrating it- i just dont particularly like all the kids or teenagers that think a hoodie and a mask passes as a costume... then expect you to give them money for them to probly go buy fags down the road.

Yes, I know what you mean! They haven't bothered in recent years though, thank God.
