Wow. Talk about an adventure, right from the beginning! And yeah, that is SO scary, definitely. I would have been terrified! Thank goodness you managed to get through the rest of the trip without incident. *hugs*

I wouldn't go quite so far as to say the rest was without incident (watch this space) - but the other incidents were a bit more self-inflicted!

Wow, what stunning photos. I wish I had the time and money to travel as much as you do. It's been six months since I've been overseas and I'm already starting to get antsy.

And I can totally relate to you getting ripped off by supposed airport taxi personnel. I've never had it happen to me in Thailand or Vietnam when I went, but it almost happened to me in the Philippines. Luckily, I had the advantage of being able to speak Tagalog, so I told them all to back off before they even had a chance to recover from the shock by the fact that I do indeed speak Tagalog. lol
