Ah, this is what my LJ is all about, isn't it? As always, a little bit behind the fannish times... I finally got around to watching Doctor Who. Or some of it, anyway, since to watch the whole thing would be quite an undertaking. Namely, I've watched seasons 1-4 of the new series. I also watched the very first episode of series five, just to

Jeeej!!! DW is fantastic!!!
Tennant was amazing! But I think Matt Smith is fantastic as well. I'm quite sure you'll like him as well. Since you are a Neil Gaiman fan, he wrote a brilliant episode in DW's season 6, "The Doctors Wife". Something to look forward too ;-)

Can't wait 'till tonight, season 7 starts today :D

I am looking forward to seeing the Matt Smith stuff - apart from the Neil Gaiman episode, there's also the fact that Stephen Moffat is now the main writer - and he wrote some of my favourite episodes in the first four seasons. I'm also looking forward to seeing more of the River Song storyline (though it's bound to be a massive tearjerker, considering).

Right now though, I'm still sort of reeling from "I don't want to go." Oh, Ten.

10 was my first intro to the Doctor so I have a soft spot for him. But I have a soft spot for Matt Smith as I saw him once in Soho and he smiled at me.

I started with Nine, but Ten wins hands down. It took Ten to get me into the show.

Matt Smith seems really sweet though, I'm looking forward to seeing where he takes it. (Sweet! Two seasons still to watch and a third ccoming out! Yay!)
