What a difference a day makes...

Or in this case, a couple of hours. Have gone from feeling calm and happy, to feeling, not really down, but something is definitely bothering me. Hmm. Oh well, I'm going to curl up with my copy of "Enduring Love", try to get lost in that, and wake up feeling a bit better. See you guys for the social tomorrow. Has anyone suggested any Agatha Christie books? I swear by her! They are such good books! If you can, get a hold of "The Murder Of Roger Akroyd" (her masterpiece), "And Then There Were None" and any others you can find - especially those about Hercule Poirot!!! I've got a couple of great ones here, if you want.

Though you can never have too many books,

Oh, don't you believe it! Fran and i have over 3,000 books here, about 70% paperbacks and the rest hardbacks. Nearly all fiction, mainly crime and sci-fi (makes the local library's collection look poor). When we moved house last time, we had around 1,500 and it took 30 packing cases just to move the books - you can't fill them more than half full or you can't lift them - so double that for next time. It takes up one 16 foot square room, floor to ceiling bookcases (built in), with most shelves doubled up, plus bookcases throughout the (large) house. It is a *major* consideration whenever we move.

However, wouldn't change it for the world *grin* - I've read perhaps 30% of them (Fran has read all, several times over), so I always have new, good, unread books to hand.

Can not recomend strongly enough that you do NOT read "Prozac Nation". I always find "THe catcher in the rye" helps when I feel crappy. Oh and "The Dice Man" is really cool, but pretty dark.....
