So, here we have Selena Lynx. I never start any of my legacies with a male... for some bizarre reason. She is a Fortune Aspiration
I don't have any pictures from their early relationship but she immediately hitched up with Benjamin Long (whom I immediately gave a makeover). Most of their time spent together was spent playing chess.
They were soon married.
They spent their Honeymoon playing more chess.
Benjamin was a knowledge aspiration and came with quite a few skills and the first thing he did after their marriage was begin fixing all of their appliances.
Not only that but he was an avid chef and loved to cook meals for the two of them.
Oh, he's a Mad Scientist too.
Soon after the wedding Selena became pregnant and began gaining weight.
Not only that, but also a little disoriented. This didn't only happen once.
While waiting for the baby's arrival, Benjamin told Selena he didn't approve of her company and the way she ran it. This was the beginning of the downward spiral that was their marriage.
Luckily this conversation didn't last long because Selena quickly went into labor and gave birth to little Beetle Lynx.
Selena continued to gain weight after the birth of her son and Benjamin reminded her of it frequently. Telling her to lay off the sweets and sugary drinks, ignoring that maybe the only reason she was gaining weight was because she was depressed.
"New mothers don't have time to be depressed" Benjamin would have told her, and he was almost right. In no time at all Beetle's birthday rolled around.
Beetle grew into an adorable toddler with his father's hair color and mother's eyes.
He also loved to dance.
Regardless of his growing son and ballooning wife, Benjamin found other ways to satisfy his needs.
And he did so on the very bed his wife conceived their son, twice.
Regardless of her husband's tomfoolery, Selena still found time and determination to raise her son right. She spent most of her evenings after work (and while Benjamin was at his laboratory) with Beetle.
They soon realized Beetle was a gifted musician and artist.
At his next birthday party, a family friend was soon wooed by Beetle's good looks and charm and wouldn't let him out of her sights for most of the evening. This is Donna. Maybe there is something between these two in the future?
Beetle had a great party, like always. Only Selena's friends came to celebrate. She wondered if Benjamin didn't invite any of his because he was sleeping with all of them.
Beetle grew into a cute little boy with lots of energy. He didn't walk anywhere if he could run there.
After Beetle's birthday, Selena started to put her foot down about Benjamin's late night adventures. He'd never come home from his lab when he said he would and often smelt of women's perfume.
All the while, Beetle mastered his Creativity skill quickly, selling masterpieces left and right.
He often spoke of traveling. He wanted to see the world.
Then again, with those table manners... who knows what will happen.
Selena would often go out to get her mind of her struggling marriage. She thought of her successful company and felt she did things the way she should be done. Benjamin was not her business partner, he had no say in what they did.
This kind of attitude only leads to adultery with co-workers.
Meanwhile, Benjamin tried to teach Beetle the wonders of science and quantum physics. Beetle wasn't interested, but excelled in school anyways.
After her affair, Selena suddenly realized the way to win Benjamin's heart back was not to stoop down to his level.
She began to eat right and work out. Once Benjamin saw the energy she was putting out to get into shape, he often gave her company during her routines.
After a long, tiresome month of working out, Selena was back to her girlish figure she lost after Beetle was born. And Benjamin quickly took notice.
They both admitted to their affairs, knowing they were in the wrong. Benjamin apologised for the way he treated Selena when she was most vunerable.
He even offered to send some of his minions to her company to build her a new office building.
Finally, the spark was back.
With this boost of confidence Selena quickly became even fitter, strutting around in her bikini often.
But during all of this drama, Beetle was still growing up!
And just like his birthday years ago, Beetle and Donna were inseperatable.
Beetle grew into a pretencious dick like his father.
For some reason, every day at four the phone would ring, it would always be for Beetle. Strangely enough, Selena always returned from work at four, so she always answered.
One night, Benjamin told his family that his laboratory was loosing funding. His sponsors knew he would be retiring soon and they were not likely to fund him for a long term project if he was going to leave half way.
Regardless of how much Selena's salary was they still found it hard to pay the bills. The repo man had to come and remind them that they need to be paid no matter what, even if they sell something.
Not willing to let his family fall into debt, Beetle joined the military to earn some extra money while in High School. Since his mother's company produced some of the equipment used in the military, they worked out a deal where he could stay at home and still go to school while a recruit. Once he graduated he would be sent through boot camp.
As predicted, Benjamin's birthday rolled around, all of his old girlfriends came.
He aged into quite the attracted senior.
Once he confessed to his affairs that he would no longer do anything with them ever again, his party fell apart. Everyone left early but Benjamin was content with playing video games by himself.
Even though both Benjamin and Selena had reached their Lifetime Aspirations (Mad Scientist and Business Tycoon) before Beetle was born, Benjamin still wanted to master every skill, and he did shortly after he retired.
Selena also soon reached her golden years. She couldn't retire, but working a few more years didn't seem so bad.
