I'm just back from the Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in Northern Minnesota.
This morning when I set out to find coffee two buildings down from my dorm it was 19 below. ( -28 C) Behold the power of addiction! On my second cup I stood outside and watched the sun peek over the ridge line. It was so beautiful up there.

18 bucks I don't want to spend
I'm usually super anal about my electronics, paticularly battery chargers and coiling cables. But somehow the charger for my camera went missing. What really annoys me is that I know as soon as I order a replacement charger the original will show up ( Read more... ) -

Posted the radar run from last January to Youtube. Finally. Still have one of those to go, then I can start on this year's Celebration of Lakes. Hopefully my camera will work.

Put in a couple of hours on the DFL phone bank - actually cell phones - last night. I like that alot better than I do door knocking. The mood amongst the volunteers was upbeat, but nervous.

The new vid is off to a good start. A third of the views comes from embedded players, half of those on LJ, which would be my sister, and half are coming from Facebook. This one is a behind the scenes look at the Marching Band during this year's last parade. All in all I am pleased with the way it turned out.
The last cut I had to do with my eyes shut to get right. I was matching the beat as the band marches off. So it was: "boom, boom, boom (1, 2, 3); boom, boom, boom (1, 2, 3). I just kept trimming the second ( Read more... ) -
State Fair Time
Which means my allergies are bugging me. A couple of sudafed got me through the weekend.
Nice long weekend. Got off work early Thursday and watched Alex play football. They had a big Tourney. He played well and the team won.
Friday: went to the State Fair with the Band. I heard attendance Friday was 90,000 plus. It was great Fair weather, ( Read more... )
