"The heart of consumerism" is what I said but what if it's the heart of addiction instead? What if all these things that we just accept, all the little habits and expectations that we have, are actually addictions. Maybe it's not really the heart of addiction you know. You seem to be missing the US/UK for an unknown reason to me, so maybe it's just a feeling of melancholy? Missing a place you hold dear in your heart could lead you to gather every bit and pieces of information you can muster from there. Thus, following shows like Oprah and the like or being culpable of your interest in that american love affair could directly result from a lack of american influence in your life? So I wouldn't see that as an addiction but more a fix for something that was lost or that is wished ( ... )

I'm mostly just sick of the sublty destructive nature of being human. I have good friends in both US and England and would dearly love to see them all plus they made good contrasts for my blurb about the change in season. And so we're clear: I don't hardly watch any Oprah at all and decided not to watch the Jennifer Aniston thing. It would just make me mad anyway ( ... )

Oh, that Homer. I remember that episode. It was kinda sweet to see his nurturing, protective side..... haha. what a fab show.
