Well done for going to see the doctor, it's a difficult thing to do sometimes. Did you mean polycystic ovary syndrome? I hope your results are all ok. I don't have diabetes but I have problems with maintaining my blood sugar levels, I can't ever fast and I have to eat something small at regular intervals. I would suspect that being diabetic would mean you would have to eat more regularly, there are different types of diabetes though, it would depend on which one I suppose. Perhaps try not to worry until you get your results. Fingers crossed all is ok Lots of love xx

yes, it was polycystic ovary syndrome, thanks.
I'm pretty sure I'm being scanned for type 2 diabetes, which is non insulin dependent (I think) so I won't have to give myself injections, which is nice becuase I don't like needles. There is a history of it in my family, my grandpa has it, my uncle has it, my great grandma had it and my sister had gestational diabetes. So I am a little worried, but I'm not going to work myself up over it. And in the long run its better to know whats causing these blackout and stop it, even if it means that I have to deal with this whole can of worms and attempt to get "better" But I'll deal with that after the tests get back, no need to work myself up over it. I'm still hoping its simply anxiety.

I don't think it posted twice :) I understand your worry. It is possible it's anxiety, that can cause all kinds of crazy things. I suffer from it too and have been to the doctors so many times only to find out it's all caused by my worrying..so hopefully it's that. I have my fingers crossed for you sweetie xx
i dont know tons about diabetes, but my mum has it....i know with her she needs to eat at regular intervals, even if it's just a small snack every few hours, or like 3 or 4 small to medium sized meals.
she doesn;t have to take any insulin injections so her's si pretty low grade, she;s controling her with diet and exercise, so i dont know what type you have, but if it's much like my mum's i'm sure that it will be manageable and you'll be just fine!
thanks, like I said above, I'm pretty sure its type 2 that I'm being tested for which is (apparently) easier to manage then type 1. Although I am freaked out about it, I'm tryng really hard not to worry myself sick about it. My parents keep telling me I'm passing out becuase I'm not eating enough. It's like they've just realized that I don't eat enough - not like it hasnt been happening for the last 8 years. And I keep telling them it feels different then blacking out form lack of food. Sorry that was a total side note. Thanks for the support. I'm still hoping for "merely" an anxiety problem.
