I Keep Wondering

I know this is going to sound silly, but. I keep wondering if people who've succeeded in ending their life, regret doing so? Like, when they're up in heaven and such, if they ever regret taking action and ending their life, when/if they've realised there could've been a different way out? I dunno. It's so hard to explain & put into words when your ( Read more... )

You know, I've always wondered this exact same thing. A friend of mine committed suicide when we were both 15. Sometimes I wonder if she wishes she could take it back. Afterall, my life is dramatically different than what it was when I was 15. I imagine if she had stayed alive, she would be in college like me by now. But at the same time, we have to realize that they made the decision for themselves. It is no body's fault. I'm sorry to hear about your loss, love.

The girl I'm talking about here was only 17, next month she would've turned 18.
I just wish someone, anyone would've been there for her to make her talk to them and let them know how she really feels. Maybe then she would've have wanted to die. You know? Everything always gets better no matter how dark your world may seem.
I know she made her decision but I still wonder what drove her to want to end her life. What could've been so bad that she felt she couldn't live on? She had so many friends and people who cared about her. A page that was created for her has 760 likes.
Anyways, I'm sorry for your loss too, and who knows if your friend's life would've changed as much as your life has.

With suicide, you never really know what went through their minds or what drove them so far. The only certainity is that every time it happens, it's a tragedy. It's unfortunate that they don't have an "undo" button, you know? Like when you play a video game and you get a chance to start over at the last checkpoint...

I feel bad for your friend, and mine, that they thought there was no other way out. The only thing that we can really do now is to try to be more sensitive to people who are feeling down && to also realize that if we ever get down ourselves, suicide is never the answer. It is unfortunately too late for them, but at least we can make sure their suffering brings out a positive outcome by spreading the word about suicide prevention. <3
