They readjusted themselves on the bed and it wasn’t really comfortable or perfect, but lots of things rarely are.

I love the extended metaphor at the end, in particular. That struck me as so VERY Sherlock, to try to make logical the one thing that isn't. And it tied in gorgeously with the final line as well. *flaps hands*

I am now really choked up. And this?
