“Explain to me again why you are spending so much time on clothing,” Sirius said, looking completely amused. He knew everything about what his young cousin was attempting to do - woo one Remus Lupin. It was proving harder than it looked, considering the fact that Remus was, at his heart of hearts, a Marauder. Marauders are many different things, but stubborn and a bit thick headed are two of them.

“Because a good image through clothing means everything,” Remus explained again, not sure why his friend was so interested in what he was doing. “Why are you asking?”

“Because you’re spending so much time on it,” Sirius replied. “You could show up naked and she’d be happier than…well, I don’t have a good analogy for it.”

Remus blushed at that statement. “I am not showing up naked. I’ve been told not to bring anything.”

“Right, and that would be bringing something,” Sirius said and smiled innocently. “I would go with the grey. Makes your eyes look better or something like that. Or, you know, you could go casual. Makes it easier…” he does not complete that sentence. He loves his little cousin, but…ew. His gutter mind was a help and a curse all rolled into one.

“Makes it easier for what?” Remus asked, looking very confused. He picked up the grey suit and looked it over, brushing it off. “This would work.”

“Yes, it would. So put it on, come back out, and you can go,” Sirius said. He left the room, grinning to himself. He would help his cousin in anyway he could with helping to bring Moony happiness. Also, where Moony forgot about the little adventure with finding the mirror, Sirius didn’t. It was one of the big reasons he was pushing the two together as much as he could. He turned as the door opened and nodded a yes. “That definitely works.”

“Thanks,” Remus said as he brushed it off a bit more. “I should be going though. You sure you don’t want to come with?”

“It said for you and you alone, Remus. So have fun, bring home a doggy bag,” Sirius said.

“Sure, Padfoot,” Remus said with a grin. “See you later,” he said as he picked up the floo powder and flooed into Tonks’ cottage for dinner.
