He's generally very cool and accepting, but I still sometimes get shy with him even though I should know better by now.

I think it's been around 2 months. My mother found out and she was pissed. She realized it's beyond her control, but at the same time, she made sure to give me a piece of her mind. Other than that, either no one's noticed, or they just haven't said anything.
One issue I've run into is that the college I'm going to this semester is a 100% tobacco free campus, so that's fun...lol
