Hey I just found this community a few days ago and read through many of the entries. I have to say, I already love this community! I started smoking when I was 17 and have been smoking for a year or so. I realized, though, that this journal has been pretty dead ( Read more... )

I smoke cigars mostly, so inhaling isn't normally necessary, but I knew I'd like them because I always liked the smell (despite ppl making fun of it my whole life). I have a cigarette once in a while, which also seems unusual.

maybe just inhaling that first one prepared you for the "real" smoke. inhaling can be nice too though, I know we're all supposed to hate second hand smoke and I don't enjoy catching wads of it in my "smoke free" building, but the occasional whiff outdoors is pleasant to me.

Interesting story. When I started 61/2 years ago, I thought it'd involve more hacking and coughing when I begun, except that surprisingly I got used to smoking pretty quick. I decided then to keep it as an infrequent, non-daily habit(and also considering in my head that cigs are an ever increasing in cost product due to the fact lawmakers love to tax the living f outta it), and have maintained that low rate of smoking to this day.

I think it only took me about a few weeks to get used to what smoking was like, for whatever reason.
