She calls Eiko just to say: "if anyone PINs in, get out right away." After all, if it's a trap, and it gets sprung, they won't need Eiko's investigation to tell them how the attacker got there ( Read more... )

Eiko appears as Hunnigan pages her. She appears in the middle of the driveway, a pair of goggles pulled down over her eyes, a futuristic-looking pistol in one hand, and a slight shimmer around her body. She turns a slow three-sixty circle, and then moves towards the house, the pistol still ready. On her back is a normal looking backpack.

As she reaches the door, and sees Hunnigan, she visibly safes the pistol, then taps the belt-buckle of the clunky metal belt she wears, finally raising up the goggles. "I'm assuming we're clear, if you called me in."

Hunnigan couldn't be aware that Eiko was part of a freelance metahuman law-enforcement unit back where she came one. She's not at the peak of what she was when she was combat-ready at any time, but she still knows how to conduct herself.

She's aware of startlingly little--she didn't want to draw attention fumbling around in the Nexus computers. She did refer to Nexus news and rumor sources while she was there, but she's not about to believe everything she gets from them. As best she knows, Eiko is a scientist and doctor, and will need protection.

She appreciates the rapidity of Eiko's arrival, and smiles. "I had a look around. I wouldn't want to take a nap here, but it's clear."

She has nothing in her hands, but she's carrying a magnum in a holster tucked under her jacket. There's nothing like a crime scene caused by something that hits like a truck to make a girl reach for the big guns.

"The scene's down the hall to the right. I'm not certain that's where the PIN point is, but it seems likely, given the attacker had a chance to reach that location before."

It's remarkably clean. The broken furniture's been taken to check for scrapings, like skin cells.

Eiko nods, and moves down that way, pulling a device from her backpack. "Yeah, I'm picking up the characteristic traces of graviton/tachyon pulses that's characteristic of a PINpoint access opening." She pauses before entering the room, then reaches into the bag again and puts little paper footies over her shoes. That done, she enters the area, moving slowly and scanning. "....okay... and... yeah. Here's where he entered ( ... )

Hunnigan remains outside, although once she hears where the portal is she shifts her attention primarily to it. She's frowning, although that's likely at the possibility of getting blinded by someone dropping in. It's likely she's going to start wearing sunglasses soon ( ... )
