millimeter-wave full body scanning at Toronto Pearson airport

Security on flights to the US has increased a lot since the last time I flew out of Pearson. According to The Star the first full-body scanner arrived in January, and today the CATSA screeners were directing all the passengers first through the metal detectors and then through the full-body scanners. a guy who shares my birthday had a warrant in the system.

Of all the things in the world to use as a unique ID, birthday is one of the more crazy.

I guess "height" would be worse.

On the subject of bad identifiers, I once got flagged in 2008 because I shared a last name with somebody on an Interpol watch list. According to howmanyofme, there are 315,940 people in the US alone sharing my last name :)
