My Paid Account for LJ expires very soon and I'm pondering whether to keep it on or not. On the one hand, I loved LJ and being able to see everyones thoughts, musings, rants, icons and vids. I'm afraid I haven't been tempted to subscribe to FB, so don't really know what I'm missing, but surely there's still a place in your heart for LJ.

I am deeply, deeply suspicious of Facebook and cynical about its privacy policies. I have been astonished at the number of sites which recognise the Facebook cookie (if some site says "hello, YourFaceBookName Here, 34 of your friends like this post. Like, recommend, share?" then that means Facebook knows you're on that site and can link it up with everything else you've visited - and some of those sites ought to know better

I'm just echoing what everyone else has said really, inasmuch as FB and LJ are two completely different things as far as I'm concerned.

No aspects of my fannish life get posted on my FB, not when I count family members, work colleagues and friends of my OH amongst my FB friends. I certainly wouldn't post anything of a slashy nature on there, so LJ definitely remains my spiritual home.

Please don't leave us! As rosie55 has said, if it's a question of cost wouldn't a free account do you just as well? Just think of everything you'd miss out on if you weren't on LJ!!
