I really like this. I think the inner critic needs to be put in his place... definitely. I try and write passionately, and tehn let the inner critic come out at the end to edit. Otherwise I get stuck in this horrible self editing process and don't get past chapter 1.

Put the inner critic in his place! Go Muse!!

Thanks for sharing :)

Thank you. :)

I think so, too, hence my participation in this community. I needed something, like a deadline and team points, to force me to barrel through the inner critic's nonsense. Even if I write something absolutely awful, the experience and practice are worthwhile.

Sometimes the inner critic critiques my ideas, so even getting half way through a chapter would be eventful. heh.

I love your text and how you describe the muse and inner critic.
A few years ago I had a lot of troubles to write because of my inner critic but luckily now I am able to send him away when needed. I hope you'll be able to put yours in his place and get back your muse instead :)

Hopefully, which is a lot of why joined this community. I needed something, like a deadline and team points, to force me to barrel through the inner critic's nonsense. Even if I write something absolutely awful, the experience and practice are worthwhile.
