iPods

They're thinking about banning iPods completely from the classes/school. Why? Because one of the many idiots that reside within our world decided to not only put porn on his iPod, but to watch it during class as well. So, there's talk that either iPods will be banned entirely from the schools or from classes. There have been many other variations, ( Read more... )

Oh my god, I think I would implode if they wanted to ban iPods at my school. I totally agree that it is ridiculous to ban any music players because one goofball ruined it for everyone. Particularly since most music players don't even have video, and thus cannot possibly view porn during school. I imagine this kid is fiercely hated at the moment, eh ?

... You're doing an essay on Forrest Gump ?

I feel like an essay writing machine after the AP test. It was three hours long, and I had to write three essays, with only 45 minutes for each, and an hour for multiple choice. I'd been practicing for weeks, so I'm reasonably certain I can crank out an essay in no time flat, with relatively little pain. Doing it over and over really does help, I find.

I don't think I'd implode, but I'd be very bored during some of my classes, like math, where all we do is book questions and note-taking. I know I wouldn't be able to use it in Japanese or Spanish next year, or bio, but I'm certain I math and social wouldn't be an issue. Can't say much for English, though. But yes... They are completely banning iPods for certain, which is the stupidest idea anybody could ever come up with. I'm also certain there are many who are totally pissed XD

Yes. And I finished said essay and it has been printed.

We have an AP exam at the end of the year. We have to write three essays in two hours. And then we have two hours for the MC like we always do. I haven't practiced, but our teacher has told us how to do the essays under that kind of pressure. I dread it. This year I've decided to type my essays instead of writing them by hand because I don't think I can write three. Writing two last year in two hours was painful enough.

Lots of the teachers don't let you listen while they're talking (but my history teacher doesn't care), but they don't mind most of the time if you're just doing seatwork. And I just love being able to listen to my music and work, because that's what I do at home. I find I work much faster and more efficiently with a beat, because I write to the rythmn. And I know I probably spelt that wrong, but I always do, so meh.

*jawdrop* Y-you... you get to TYPE !?!? Lucky devils ! I thought my hand was going to wither away, and fall off ! We don't even get the option. *pouts* It can't be the standardized AP test, though, right ? Because I thought all the exams, even those other than English, take place in the same week all over the world, and I wrote it in April. Is it the exam your teacher writes just for your class ?

Yeah, I like to listen to my music when I'm working - especially in computers. I find it helps me concentrate. And, like you, I type/write to the rhythm (there you go XD), as most people have noticed. I just like having it... But since they're banning music from the classes (just like the banned cellphones - though that didn't work so well) it doesn't matter. *Sigh* I don't think I'll find another decent use for it now, unless we go on road trips ( ... )
