I think you should totally question the not getting paid thing. I know that in Ontario, every time you're at work to do something, even if it's a meeting or trainging, you have to get paid. Here, if they don't pay you for training, they're in big doodoo. Ask your mom, I'm sure she'd know.

It's not that I don't get paid, but that I won't be paid until the first month has elapsed (so on my cheque in September, I'd get the money). It's just to ensure that I don't quit after three or four days of work because I dislike it.
