I had that kind of same sense, that there was room for this sequel. I was in class the day after posting the first part and I kept thinking "But skinny!Dean...and he still has the flu...and Sam still hasn't explained his horrible behavior..." and I just couldn't leave it alone. I'm glad the balance of angst and schmoop worked - It's such a delicate balance on the show of them caring for each other but still maintaining their macho posturing, as well as their living in each other's pockets but trying to have some level of separation.

That whole section about how Sam leaves but Dean is the one that always comes back, all boiling down to how as kids Dean told him if he got lost to just stay and wait for him - oh my heart. That is just BEAUTIFUL and it sums up the brothers perfectly.

Sad to say, I still want to write more of it but I think maybe I need to leave it here? I don't know what I could still say in this story that I haven't already, if that makes sense. But I'm already working on some new things, so hopefully that helps me put this one to bed.
Thanks again!

When Sam left for college, Dean came and got him. When Sam died, Dean brought him back. When Sam chose Ruby, Dean followed him. When Sam left for Stull Cemetery, Dean showed up to save him.
Absolute genius!
