Heartbreaking story. Sam and John so angry and unhappy, Dean the peacekeeper, trying to hold them together. His love not enough for either his father or his beloved brother. Dean not realizing that it was not about love.

I love how you put that. You're right, I think, Dean is always trying to hold everything together, and he takes it as a personal failure when things don't work out, when really, they were never going to.

Thank you!

I'm gonna go sit in a corner and cry now. This was amazing and the parallels you drew were just heartbreaking and the last line almost killed me. Well done :)

This was such a great read. I have no idea how you managed to fit so many allegories (I think that's the word) and metaphors and everything in this, but it was such a great read. I loved how the house and the fixing of it reflected back to the Winchester family. And I loved being able to read this from Dean's point of view and seeing how he reacted to Sam's plans, even when Sam refused to tell him outright. This was just such a wonderful read. I totally enjoyed it.

Thank you so much!

I love Dean POV, I think he has such a unique take on things. He seems so aware of his own shortcomings and problems, but so unsure of how to fix them, and I love that contrast of clarity and confusion.

I'm glad you liked it :)
