So it was getting out of control with all the knitting needles everywhere so I decided to organize. It is also an excellent way to use up my fabric stash which is getting out of hand.
I made another needle burrito. I found the pattern here. It is quite ingenious in terms of maximizing the little pockets with minimal sewing. it is a combo of one

i can't recommend it enough. It was an easy item to sew - it took me an afternoon (and I was dawdling around working on my year end mix tape at the same time).
A change a made from the pattern: Rather than sew two different materials together I cut the pocket squares on a fold (ironed flat they were the same width but twice as long as the recommended size). I then used the bias tape to trim the edge but that is completely optional. It means way less cutting.

I mostly use cheap thrift store fabric in my sewing and it isn't vintage so I don't worry to much about saving bits and pieces of it.
