There is no such thing as a cold cappucinno. (Well, I suppose that's not entirely true, but in the American usage of Cappucino, the word means a drink consisting of a good deal of foam, which can only be made when milk is heated. I imagine cappucion, like au lait and latte, simplyt means something along the lines of "with milk.")

Okay, you kind of got me there, there is, technically, no such thing as a cold cappucino. But, there is a difference between a cafe latte, and a cappucino in Italy: a cappucino is small, though bigger than a macchiato (americans have no idea what a real macchiato is) and consists of a single shot of espresso in a mug the size of a teacup, then with foamy milk added.

I make myself a cafe freddo con molto latte, but I thought people would understand me better.

You win.

A cafe latte, by the way, is warmed milk in a twelve ounce or so-ish glass with one LONG shot of espresso.

Cafe au lait is the same only french.

Also, if you came to italy and asked for a latte, they would give you a glass of milk.
