There's been a lot of talk on the LJ Circuit about jobs and careers and such as of late, so I thought I should chime in with my own batch of vocational versimilitude. (Does that word work? Oh well, it does in my mind!)

1. I envision you doing this kind of work all the time. Also YOU ARE ALREADY DOING IT. You worked 5 days a week at Joseph House up until you took leave for the baby, you serve on the altar and sing the liturgy on Sundays, and you know you're going to get roped into running VBS next summer. If I could give you one gift, it would be to realize that the good you do is not limited by your degree
