  Much needed rain thanks to what's left of Barry. Drove by the prospective house, and it did not look like it was underwater, so that's good. Also, the plants on the porch needed rain badly (I haven't watered them, for a week, because I was expecting the rain then ( Read more... )

 Thursday, afternoon...

- Went walking around the neighborhood where Lisa and I have found an excellent candidate for our house. Nice old lady with a hairless dog told us about the neighborhood, how she grows herbs, and how if we move in to the house down the street, we should come over for iced tea. Spent part of the weekend looking around at houses, and part perusing the local Wal-Mart for baby stuff, and then followed by an inexpensive date to the Perdue Stadium parking lot, where we sat and listened to the game on  the radio (shorebirds beat the blueclaws in extra innings, 6 to 5 ), followed by fireworks, which were just as cool ( Read more... )
