The Tale of Lane the Vampire Slayer
Once upon a time, there was a little baby girl named Alison Lane. Her parents were overjoyed at their good fortunte, this first born child. But one night a man came to their home. He told them that their daughter had been marked by fate, as one of many girls who may one day be called to become the Slayer. He told them they must give him the child to raise, and train.
But Mr. and Mrs. Lane did not trust this man. They lived in New Orleans, a place where humans and Demons lived in peace. They did not give their child up, and bade the stranger to begone.
But the Watchers were not to be denied. They stole the child, hiding her with enchantments. The years passed, and Lane grew up with no knowledge of her parents or home. Her Watcher refused to respond to her questions, only stepped up her training, saying she needed to be focused.
Then, in her 16th year, Lane and her Watcher were attacked by the Bringers. Though they escaped, her Watcher was mortally wounded, and dying, finally confessed the truth to his protege. Thus, Alison Lane returned to New Orleans, where she was reunited with her parents, and protected from the Bringers by the forces of New Orleans. When she suddenly found herself with the powers of the Slayer, she joined the Supernatural Police Force, in order to give back to the community that had taken her in.
