In honor of hide's memory I've uploaded a few of his solo songs as well as some X Japan. In celebration of his life and his music rather than his death~~. ^_^
hide - Pink Spider Comments: hide is the pink spider~. :)
hide - Rocket DiveComments: My favorite hide song, hands down. It's just so upbeat you want to sing along to it. :D
hide - eyes love you Comments: I've heard that some people think this is a sad song and maybe it is but I don't find it that way. This song makes me smile.
hide with Spread Beaver - ever freeComments: I'm not sure why exactly I chose this song, I just felt like I should. hide is ever free.
hide with Zilch - Psyche Comments: A more rock oriented song by hide and Zilch. I like it.
X Japan - I.V. Comments: X Japan's first song in 10 years, I believe? I want to say? I'm not sure but X's first release in too long. Pre-recorded guitar playing by hide so it's almost like he's there. Download the PV
here.
X Japan - KurenaiComments: A song that starts out slow but works it's way into a very upbeat song~. That's what I like about this, it changes from slow to fast.
X Japan - ART OF LIFE Comments: The EPIC X Japan song that goes on forever. I myself have only listened to it completely 1, maybe 2 times? This song is almost 30 minutes long. It's their epic song.
X Japan - Without You (Live from Destruction Night 3.28.08)
Comments: I ripped this from the YouTube video because I needed this song and cannot wait for them to release the studio version Yoshiki said they recorded. This song is absolutely beautiful. I can't even talk about it without crying. x3 It's just...wow. Yoshiki's love song for hide. Take that as you will. During the first chorus you even hear Toshi's voice crack. I'm sure he was trying not to cry. Watching the video Yoshiki was hiding behind his hair half the time but he probably had some unshed tears too. ^^; I pray they play this when they come to Madison Square Garden.
How should I love you
How could I feel you
Without you
hide - GOOD BYE Comments: I cannot listen to this song without crying. >_<; hide. singing Good Bye. It's sad, even though it was recorded in 1996. It feels like he's saying Good Bye which I'm sure wasn't the feeling when this came out~ xD
Additional Comments: Now is my chance to rant.
I have not been an X Japan or hide fan for a very long time, as some people have. In 1998 I was 8 years old, so no, clearly I wasn't a fan then. Only in the past year really have I gotten into them. It was really just a thing I felt I needed to listen to. Everyone should have at least heard some X Japan songs.
I'm no expert on X or hide but they really started it all. They are visual kei. I finally understand why hide inspired so many current VK artists. He's...hide. I don't know what else to say, I'm tearing up now. ^^;
I've heard people say he's an angel... but I don't think so. :) hide to me doesn't seem like the type who would want that. Just by looking at his life... he's no angel. I do like to believe that he is in heaven though. I feel a bit silly crying over this but it's okay. *keeps box of tissues ready for anyone else who needs them today* :)
