Like many of the others, he'd received a favor from the mayor recently -- But for some odd reason, he'd hesitated until a few days ago to actually go to the store and check it out.  The item was definitely a bit strange.  A single piece of paper, with only a single word written on it.  Twincast.  To anyone else, it would have meant ( Read more... )

[Porom answers the door, looking a bit worried because of drone!Hawkeye running around like Mrs. Happy Homemaker, but she actually smiles at the sight of Palom. For a moment.]

Patience is a virtue, Palom.

[She glances back inside and then steps outside, heading around the side of the house.]

We'd better go in the backyard to test it out.

[He runs around towards the back of the house, glancing through the windows on occasion.]

Will the drones give us any trouble? We should probably keep this to ourselves for now. I don't think it's a good idea to start off with Comet, anyway. Pyroblast into the air?

Miss Hawkeye is busy... making cookies, so I don't think she's going to give us any trouble so long as we're careful.

[She's trying not to look as disturbed as she actually is having to say that sentence.]

Right. I've been trying not to be too open about my magic powers in general, which would be a good idea for you as well.

[She starts charging the spell. Thank goodness, the magic link between them seems as strong as it ever was back home.]

[Palom begins to charge as well, adding his magic into the mix. Despite his sister's obvious discomfort with the whole thing of dronified mothers, he's too excited to worry too much right now about her feelings. They can talk about it after something's been set on fire.]

Alright. It's not that I've been open. I've just been . . . reminding people that it might not be a good idea to mess with any random kid they see on the street. You know the types of weirdos we get.

[Twincast is almost fully prepared now -- The glowing ball of energy between them is nearly half the size of their own bodies. Palom grins widely as he glances at Porom.]
