[Oh, gosh.  How adorable.  Today, there is what looks almost like a lemonade stand set up outside 1448 Mitchell Road, complete with smiling, cherubic face shining forth underneath a large sign that reads . . . um.

WILL USE MAGIC SPELLZ TO IMPROOF LIFE FOR MONEE OR COOKIES

Whoever passes by will be treated to a little boy shouting:]

Heyyyy!  ( Read more... )

[Garviel stares in shock at the kid actually offering to do Sorcery. The most dangerous and corrupting thing in his entire world. On the street. For money or Cookies. He just stands there like an enormous dolt, because this is ENTIRELY outside his kenning.]

[Magic?]

You know magic?

[Her only encounters with magic have been in music videos, and even then that was fake magic. Special effects do not count.]

That's right! And for a really really low price, I'll use it to help you out!

Hmm...what kind of magic?

Black magic! I can turn your enemies into frogs or pigs or set them on fire or zap them . . . I can do things like teleport and stop time, too, but I haven't regained that last one yet.

[Oh? Oh, it looks like you have an interested customer! A weird-looking man in a flying chair!

Oh, but he's floating away... and a few minutes later, coming back! Holding something!

...And starting to correct the spelling on your sign with a red marker.]

[A customer! Hooray! Oh. Wait. What . . . H-Hey!]

S-Stop that! It won't attract as many people if it's all spelled right!

[Dist gives the kid a flat look.]

Have you gotten any customers?

prodigious_mage February 7 2011, 05:37:46 UTC
Yes! ...... People've stopped by, anyway!

[A pale girl with amber eyes stops and looks over the sign, then looks at Palom, then ponders after listening to his mutterings and puts a small bag of cookies on the counter.]

"What kind of magic? Also... Who is Relm?"

prodigious_mage February 7 2011, 16:30:45 UTC
((Ah, action and voice don't happen simultaneously, so Relm wouldn't have been mentioned.))

[Palom's eyes grow large. How did she just happen to have a bag of cookies on her?]

B-Black magic! The strongest kind of magic, of course.

((I'm sorry, still learning and kind of a doof. Ignore that part.))

[In a deadpan voice with little expression on her face.]

"I'm sorry, there is no magic where I come from. Is that rabbits in hats?"

prodigious_mage February 7 2011, 16:47:28 UTC
((Not a problem!))

...... What?! Oh! Oh, wait. You want to see Kaito's kind of magic.

[Pause. That person had left a long time ago, from what he had heard.]

No, I do real magic.

[And in a second or two, Palom is holding a fireball in his hands.]

[After Palom gives his sales pitch:]

Oh! You're a spellcaster?

...the town has returned your magic to you, then?

Reply

prodigious_mage February 7 2011, 16:31:22 UTC
Yeah, but not all of it. I've only got about half the spells I've already learned back.

dodo_master February 7 2011, 18:13:27 UTC
Well be glad you had any returned to you. They're still holding mine and I've been here for months now!

That's really dumb. What kind of magic do you usually do?
