She'd snuggled with Walter and talked about penguins, talked with Phoebe for a while and wiped away some tears. She'd gotten hugs from Bel, who begged her to stay. Nadia skipped back into the dorms, swinging her arms in their homemade, ace-bandage-and tape-casts, a lollipop sticking out of her mouth.

She paused and waved happily at CJ. "Hi!"

Nadia held up both her arms and admired her casts again. "Phoebe brokened her arm and got a cast so I got casts too." She showed them to CJ. "Like 'em? I made 'em myself."

She nodded hard and promptly fell back onto the couch. "Girls, I think I'd better stay here. No sleepover for me."

"And as they knocked, the door creeeeeaaaaaaked open..." she said, looking at each of them. She went on in great detail about how there were lots of shadows in the cabin, and it smelled really bad, and the light only came from one old fashioned lantern by the window.
