Apparently I haven't said anything at all since the 17th. Can't think what I've been doing but clearly too busy to post here ( Read more... )

I have to ask... is the author of Woman after God's Own Heart Elizabeth George, by chance? I don't know if you know that I work for a Christian Bible software company part time while I'm in school. I did another book by Elizabeth George a few months ago and she wrote a book by that title.

Nope, I haven't except for what I saw while formatting the book. I'm a bit too much of a feminist for her writing.

But I know she's popular and I have coworkers who enjoy her.

Well, I tend to think of Noah's Arc as very Susan Death! It's a story where everyone dies in huge catastrphy. I think the only reason we use it for kids is because off all the animals.

I've noticed on heretics club it's hard to keep track of new posts in old threads. No hot button to say there's a new post and so they get forgotten. Maybe if you hit the reply button to the post above yours, instead of just leave comment?

umm, is it ok if i believe in a literal 6 day creation tho? I mean I try not to insist anyone else does. :D

what type of non-fiction do you like? I just read a fantasy series i thot was really good...Belgariad Davids Eddings. The curious Incident of the Dog in the middle of the Night was pretty good (Haddon) about an autistic kid. Anything else I might recoimmend would be a mystery, or "hard boiled detective"

Of course - I don't min what people believe, as long as it doens't contradict the Bible of course. ;) - I just don't think the issue merits discussion in church. Too much controversy, not enough that we know for a fact.

Various people hae recommended the Dog book, might have to try that as it's about autism. I do like fantasy - and yes I like mystery/detective too so do give me some pointers. :)

Xavi is getting so big!!! He is absolutely precious! 8pm bedtime is not bad at all!(If only they could make it until 8am everyday then it would be ideal)
