Starting with what? The books that turn people into cats or the books that are deeply frightening?

(ooc: Am only here until someone tells me which hospital to go to because, I say again, HOLY SHIT MY COUSIN'S HAVING A BABY.)

Starting with the semi-official list of students who are never, ever allowed in there.

[Hee! Congratulations! We'll pretend you're there.]

"Oh, those." Parker tries to remember how that got started, and frowns. "I think-- I think we started it with Malfoy? Because of something he was looking for. I can't remember what, that was Frasier's call. And Belthazor," her lips tighten, "was in here while Janet was... ill, and checked out something from Special Collections that was probably a bad idea. Curses, and soul vaults, and she wouldn't have let him leave with it if she'd been in her right mind ... herself."

So, Draco, Angelus, Belthazor, and a student who has left the school, correct?

"Going on?" Parker says carefully. "You're going to have to be more specific, Dr. Pierson. I'm not sure what you're referring to."

Specifically, how about why I have a cranky vampire student in here with a note on his card that says he is never allowed in Special Collections?

Trust me, I have no objections to making sure that the scary books don't end up in the hands of the scary students. But *I* have to be responsible for why they are being prohibitied.

[Shoo! Shoo! Go! :)]

Right. So this is what I want you to do. We need to get together a log of everyone who uses Special Collections, and keep it up to date from this point on. And I need a list of all students who are denied access to Special Collections and the reason for that denial, so I can amend it as needed. Is this understood?

Parker grimaces. "Yes, Dr. Pierson." She's going to have to backtrack those check-out records. And the history records. Oy. But Dr. Pierson does *not* look like he's looking for a discussion on this.

I like the sound of that. 'Yes, Dr. Pierson.'

*is interrupted by phone buzzing*

*checks message*

Great. Fantastic. Apparently, it didn't take Angelus very long to get to Prof. Jerusalem. Whiny wanker.

"That bastard." Parker's fuming. "He's just...." She cuts herself off. "Trouble."

Not a damned thing since we closed it off. Thank God. I was about ready to start letting blood from everyone who was trying to get a book out by claiming they needed it for a teacher.
