7 years isn't an age difference to worry about. My SO is also six years older than me. It evens out because men take longer to grow out of being kids usually, so a 5 and a little bit age difference usually works out fine :) So I wouldn't worry about acting juvenile. Just be you and be sure to put your feelings into words. The worst you can do is clamp up so he's left imagining that you don't like/trust him.
