>> Final Route, Chapter 8: Flip Flop
Sora just gave me a hit-and-run explanation of parallel universe theory!
...wait, I AM stepping on a person.
You OK, dude?
Kid was in the area, and suddenly passed out!
He seems to be OK now, though.
Kid's off to eat, but I have someone I have to go see.
Tsugumi.
Still not waking up.
This is totally my fault.
Somewhat later! Everyone is goofing off and having a good time.
Except for Coco. Where's Coco?
Some exploration finds her in the Lemurian Ruins.
What're you doing here?
Unclear! She has a handful of what look like tear-shaped crystals, and is tossing them into the water.
Tsugumi got hurt trying to save Coco, so she thinks it's her fault.
Seriously, it's mine. I was the careless moron.
If you think it will make you stop crying, then I don't see why not?
Oh hey, Tsugumi's awake.
That makes this more relevant, I guess.
Sudden personality reversal!
While I said that it was my fault, and Coco said it was hers, Tsugumi says it wasn't anybody's fault.
It was Coco, for standing there.
But before that, it was me, for knocking over the boxes by mistake.
But before that, it was Tsugumi, for telling Coco to stand there.
But before that, it was Coco, for volunteering to help in the first place...
Trying to hunt down the cause is hopeless. You can't pin it down to one person.
But before *I* can get a word in edgewise, there's an alarm!
STAY THE FUCK IN BED DO YOU HEAR ME
I WILL DEAL WITH THIS
Seriously, who designed this sprinkler system.
Kid's enjoying this to a kind of unsettling degree.
Maybe he's finally gone off the deep end--
--this rain sure is nice--
Yeah, yeah, I know. It's just the whale blowing water.
But it feels sort of like rain.
I try for the second time to get Sara to tell me who the man in the mirror is.
She just says he's a person from the sun.
Or under a lighter, apparently.
I wonder why, gosh!
But even under flame, nobody else can see the image.
Except for me.
Why?
Memories are racing beneath my consciousness.
She says that the man in the mirror is her dad.
Her, and her brother's--
--dad?
I don't care what you say, Coco, that is not written anywhere in the constitution.
To recap a bit:
This is what happens when Coco can't sleep and harasses me into keeping her company.
Conversation about where Coco's dad is!
Should... I mean, should you really be telling me about this?
A strange feeling...
...huh, anyway. Better keep it secret.
Powerful microwaves are emitting from Coco's brain, damaging my ability to understand reality.
BUT I WILL REMAIN STRONG.
MY MANLY PRIDE WILL KEEP ME FROM PLAYING CHICKS.
To be continued
