Attempt #18!
Floor 1: Used a bomb, gained three bombs, gained sticky bombs.
Floor 2: Gained three bombs, gained three ropes, rescued a dame.
Floor 3: Used two bombs, gained three bombs, lost one health to a spider, rescued a dame.
Floor 4: Used one bomb, acquired the Udjat Eye.
Floor 5: Found the Black Market.
Floor 6: Bought a cape and climbing gloves.
I'm pretty sure I've gotten this item on a run before, but never talked about it - this is what Climbing Gloves do! I can adhere to any wall as if I were hanging off a ledge. Between this as a cap, it's almost as good as having a jetpack!
Also bought a pistol.
Floor 7: Nothing of note.
Floor 8: Restless Dead. Used two bombs, lost one health to a zombie, rescued a dame.
Floor 9:
Man, I like having a firearm when it gets to the yeti zone. The only good yeti is a dead yeti.
Used one bomb, gained three ropes.
Floor 10: Used one rope.
Floor 11: Used one rope, rescued a dame.
Floor 12: Lost pistol, rescued a dame. Fair trade.
OKAY.
After much death and toil, I have reached the game's final zone.
Welcome to the Temple Zone!
There are many, many new things here, most of them more than capable of ending me with blinding speed. Visible here is a Spike Block. It can move freely through space in four directions, and will do so if I ever find myself directly above, below, or to the side of it. Touching it while it's in motion is, of course, instant death.
These are birdmen! They are like the much more dangerous cousin of cavemen. They're faster, they jump around wildly, and if they catch you, they throw you like a yeti.
In this encounter, in fact, I lose a whopping three health!
Lava, pictured above, is a Bad Thing. Touching it spells instant death for anyone, friend or foe. Fortunately, I have a cape, so I can safely glide past it.
And man, that dame looks tough to get. I think I'll just skip past it and
Just kidding!
Yeah I'm not quite sure what happened here. My cape caught on something or something and I fell like a rock. Into lava.
Just after encountering a Tomb Lord, too!
