Gilgamesh 2
With Enkidu, Gilgamesh defeated the Humbaba, guardian of the forest, beast of the Gods, and became the greatest and richest king on Earth.
After this, GIlgamesh was so powerful that even the Gods could not ignore his existence.
One Goddess fell in love with this Gilgamesh. Ishtar, the Goddess of fertility, proposed marriage to Gilgamesh, the perfect king, but he rejected her immediately.
This was because he knew her to be a witch; unfaithful, cruel, and the corruptor of all men.
Ishtar became furious, feeling that Gilgamesh had insulted her. To get revenge, she went to her father, the God Anu, and persuaded him to unleash the Bull of Heaven.
Because of this unstoppable beast of the Gods, seven years of starvation and destruction hit the Earth.
Gilgamesh and Enkidu cooperated and faced the Bull of Heaven, and successfully defeated it. The Goddess's reputation was once again crushed.
Ishtar's fury of course did not abate, and she asked the Gods of death to give death to one of the men, as it was a sin for a human to kill a beast of the Gods.

Shirou is, as expected, not doing so great.
Our skills and weapons are equal, but Archer's projections are stronger. He understands the fundamental structure of the weapons better than Shirou does.
Possibly due to excessive TIME PARADOX, Shirou's body is protesting violently every time it comes in contact with Archer.
Five sword sets for Shirou, one for Archer. Shirou approaches the limit of his projection...
BRACE FOR IMPACT
And here's the reason Shirou's suffering every time he crosses swords with Archer.
It's because Archer's memories are flowing into him.
"I am the bone of my sword."
"Steel is my body, and fire is my blood."
"I have created over a thousand blades."
"Unknown to death, nor known to life."
"Have withstood pain to create many weapons."
"Yet, those hands will never hold anything."
HOLY CRAP back to fighting.
We're still alive, cool.
Archer knows what I've been seeing, and refuses to let me deny it!
Looks like this is the limit of the younger Shirou Emiya.

Archer, understanding my limits from experience, knew that my limit was eight Projections.
This is the ninth.
This is still a hopelessly uphill struggle!
Not content to just destroy my body, Archer wants to destroy my ideals, as well!
Thus he cuts to the heart of the problem: Shirou's great ideal is copied blindly from his father.
Kiritsugu knew it was impossible. Yet still, he let me take on his dream.
Archer's attacks now being backed up by the power of his contempt, Shirou possesses no hope of victory.
And yet, somewhere deep inside...
...He's still refusing to accept this outcome.
There's nothing inside you but regret, Archer.
I almost feel sorry for you.
And despite all that, there is no hope of winning.
And yet...
...every time Archer curses his ideals, power flows into Shirou.

...Shirou's battle has always been one against his own mind.
No technique is left in this fight.
Power against power.
Spirit against spirit.
Conviction against Conviction.
Something's welling up inside Shirou... against all odds, he's holding his ground against Archer.
Archer's stopped using technique, too... both versions of Shirou are attacking with wild strength and nothing else.
Even in the midst of this brutal duel, Archer can't help but be captivated by Shirou's determination.
All that's keeping Shirou together is a single thought.
The thought that his ideal can't possibly be a mistake.
And it is that same unwavering certainty that guides Shirou's sword to end the battle.
So yeah, apparently Avalon is still protecting me somewhat despite the contract being broken.
