Now I only have Marisa in my party!
Since this is the last split-path chapter, I'm not gonna bother with upgrades and stuff.
LET'S GO
Kourindou!
Alice is here looking for Marisa, but the only people she finds are Rinnosuke and Nitori.
Nitori wants to borrow complex electronics, but Rinnosuke won't let her, even if she promises to put them back together exactly as they were before!
Rinnosuke and Alice never really got introduced properly during the incident! Now they have been.
Rinnosuke is inwardly surprised that, being one of Marisa's friends, Alice isn't more Marisa-like. She certainly is pretty doll-esque, though.
Turns out Nitori is also looking for Marisa! She's not at her house.
Rinnosuke suggests that, knowing Marisa's migration patterns, she's probably at the Hakurei Shrine about now.
Alice and Nitori go to the shrine to meet up with Marisa, while Rinnosuke figures that there's probably nothing to worry about now that the incident is resolved...
Youmu's in the library! She's looking for info on that "Flower that never blossoms" again.
Patchouli is trying to get her to keep her damn voice down, this is a library.
Marisa's here, too!
What? Invitations? Never heard of them.
It's Koakuma!
Patchouli is upset that Sakuya isn't around with tea yet, Koa says it's because she's on an errand (read: card game) with Remilia.
When Patchouli refuses to let Marisa order any tea through Koakuma, she decides to head out to find the kitchen herself!
Youmu worries about what will happen if Marisa gets lost. Patchouli says that if she does, they'll be able to have some peace and quiet for a change.
So! Marisa's lost.
She's wondering if she'll stumble onto a room full of corpses by accident at this point.
This kind of looks like a corpse room!
Shiro starts flipping out all of a sudden.
Am I done yet?
This time, Marisa distinctly heard a voice!
It's a conversation now! Every time she asks "Am I done yet?" Everyone else says "No, not yet."
She wants to play outside...
This door doesn't open from the inside, though.
Marisa can help with that!
Shiro is seriously flipping out, now! What a weirdo.
Marisa's just gonna let this trapped girl out, then go home, so what's the big deal?
She's finally out! It's big, and bright, and she can play as much as she wants!
Marisa introduces herself as one of the mansion's rare human guests. The strange girl wonders why she didn't bring any cake or tea, then moves on to wondering if the part of outside beyond this room is even bigger and brighter.
Marisa wants to go home, but this person is intent on playing! She introduces herself as...
Flandre Scarlet
Species: Vampire
Ability: Destruction
Disposition: Unstable
Marisa Path Chapter 13: Sister of Scarlet
This is where the playing will commence!
She doesn't know any places out here, so this one is fine.
Marisa, still lacking a proper grip on the situation, suggests she go back to playing hide-and-seek in the basement. Flandre says nobody's looking for her, so who cares?
After much not listening to what Marisa has to say, Flan decides on a game: Bat hunting.
But where are the bats?
At Flandre's command, they appear!
The game is on: Whoever kills the most bats wins.
Flandre kind of has an unfair advantage on this map! Look at that start position (she's the green one).
LET'S GO
Accelerate is our friend!
We have to close this distance gap to stand a chance.
WOW that girl is fast.
Let's see how she handles bats?
Decisively, that's how!
Flandre's winning!
Marisa wonders what the hell is up with this girl.
It takes Marisa two hits to take out a bat, instead of Flandre's one!
Fortunately, they attack on their turn, too, so I can still take one down in a single turn.
1-1!
Flandre is having some crazy amounts of fun! She's always been alone, so this is her first time playing a real game with someone else.
2-1! I've taken the lead!
2-2! Flan's getting into this.
This is my last Accelerate! I hope it was enough.
Critical hit! Got it in one.
Flandre made the tactical blunder of wandering north, leaving me near more bats than her.
She is keeping pace regardless, with her insane speed and power! This brings us up to 3-3.
There are three bats left, all in this area (one's covered up by the danmaku field infobox) - if I can take out two, it's my victory!
EAT LUDICROUS OVERKILL
And while she's dicking around up north, I corner the fifth and final bat!
MATCH DECIDED
The moral of the story is that Marisa is better than you at everything, forever.
Flandre is impressed with Marisa's coolness! She can't believe she lost.
Marisa says that this is normal for people who encounter the Great Magician Marisa.
Anyway, time to go home...
Flan's not done, though!
What game will be next? Come here! Let's play more!
Marisa's tired and going home, so seriously, go back to your hide and seek in the basement friends.
Flandre says, no way, I hate them.
She especially hates "her". Locking her up in a stuffy room, then playing around outside by herself.
Now, Flandre's outside, so she won't let anyone stop her from having as much fun as she wants!
What's wrong? Are you afraid of the devil that lives in this house? Don't worry about her.
"She" is my older sister, Remilia. If she comes, I'll defeat her in a flash!
SUDDENLY INTERVENTION
SUDDENLY BINDING
She looks like she's in a lot of pain!
Patchouli is pissed. Does Marisa have any idea what she was doing when she opened that door?!
Marisa is fairly unnerved by this whole situation! What's all this talk about sealing people?
Flandre
Patchouli! Do you have any idea what you're doing?
Have you forgotten who I am? Maybe if I break you, you'll remember!
Patchouli
You haven't changed, Flandre.
So, what I can or can't do to you hasn't changed, either.
Flandre
Eheheheh, go ahead and try!
I'll just draw your "eye" into my hand...
Flandre
Ugh!
Patchouli
I've been been preparing magic specifically to seal you for hundreds of years.
You can't beat that with this little freedom.
I've sealed your power with all five elements, so don't think you can use that ability of yours, either.
Flandre
Don't tell me you've been spending all this time just keeping me locked up!
I know, it must be HER. She told you to do this!
Patchouli
Yes, this is her wish.
And as her friend, it is my wish as well.
Sorry, but you're going back to your room now.
Flandre
PATCHOULI!
Patchouli
I'm still not sure how this happened.
I'd better start preparing a new seal.
Marisa
What's going on? The light from that magic circle...
Patchouli
Let's go, Flan.
Flandre
...No...
No, let me out!
I still want to play more! Let me out of here!
Marisa, help me!
I don't want to go... back...
Marisa
Flan?!
And she's gone!
Patchouli warns Marisa that this has nothing to do with her, so she'd better just walk away.
The ground is shaking now!
Patchouli had better act fast if she wants to keep her locked in.
Youmu's up here, drawn by the sound of a danmaku battle!
Marisa says, talk later, come with me now.
STAGE 13 CLEAR
Marisa relates the story of her encounter with Flandre to Youmu!
What now, then?
On one hand, Remilia probably has a good reason for sealing her up. On the other hand, that's not much of a reason to let someone be held prisoner against their will.
Marisa's plan: Ask Patchouli!
It seems that Flandre Scarlet has some secret that Marisa doesn't know about yet...
To be continued
