Severus went about setting the table while keeping a close eye on Faolan who was coloring and pouting. The boy was never comfortable around strangers, but the more he was exposed, the more relaxed he would become

"Hello."

She followed him in cautiously, not wanting to alarm the kid. "Professor?"

"Come in, Hermione," Severus said, giving Faolan a tap on the head before throwing the tea towel over his shoulder.

"I apologize for your rather abrupt greeting," he added, arching an eyebrow at Faolan.

"Fae, this is Miss Granger and you will treat her with respect, understood?"

The boy nodded, but said nothing else.

Snape turned his smile on Hermione. "Thank you for coming, can I take that for you?"

She nodded, too, and handed over dessert before offering a smile. "How do you do, Fae? You can call me Hermione if you'd like to."

Snape nudged the boy with his foot.

"It's a pleasure to meet you miss Hermione." With that, he ran back to his coloring book.

Snape shook his head and rolled his eyes. "Can I get you a glass of wine? I hope you don't mind, but I fed Faolan already. His tastes aren't quite as developed for what I've made for you."
