rationalizing priorities & hand jobs

I've decided to place faith in the idea that rationalizing priorities is totally based on a person's drive to accomplish, fulfill, achieve or maintain some goal or some state of existence. Who is to say making this amount of money or driving this type of vehicle is more important than eating ice cream?

The Media.

Who? The folks that think that society is best served by having people needing things all the time. The people who think the only way society will function is if it is based on rampant consumerism.

The establishment doesn't care about US, doesn't care if we are living satisfying lives; the establishment only cares that we continue to spend money and work like dogs to make money, and rank ourselves according to what we have and what we have yet to obtain.

It's just unfortunate that everyone is so busy buying into it... no pun intended.
