[ Now, this is a very familiar view to those that have known the Professor for some time; the Pokegear placed down on a small coffee table angled in such a way to film its owner, a open notebook with a fountain pen nearby, a hot cup of Belle Classic tea, and the great Professor himself. From the surroundings, it seems that he's in a Pokemon Centre ( Read more... )

...Oh, the Teddiursa is quite adorable, isn't she~ I hadn't seen that species before.

These ruins sound fascinating as well. I'd be interested in coming along, if you don't mind, though first I'd have to find out how long it takes to get from Ecruteak to Violet. Hopefully not longer than a week.

Yes, I do have to admit that she is. I believe I have not seen the species around in the wild though just yet.

And from Ecruteak, that might take about... [ A few seconds to think. ] ...a week and a half at the very most. I highly suggest that you ride upon a Pokemon to cut down the travel time.

Hm, that's a shame. I'll have to keep an eye out for them~

I can probably arrange that. Ah-- is the Sudowoodo the strange tree I've heard about?

[ A nod. ]

Yes, they will only move if you acquire the watering can from Goldenrod's gym leader. Will you be needing it?

Apparently so, since I haven't been to Goldenrod at all yet. I'd heard there was odd tree down there, but not any of the details.

Despite it being called a tree, it is actually a rock-type Pokemon so having a water-type Pokemon to defeat it will be very useful.

Ah, good thing I have one of those, then~ So you have to have this watering can and then defeat it, is that how it works?

Yes, indeed. You can then pass it though a new one appears only a few hours later to take its place.

That's very interesting. A remnant of some of the original game logic, I assume.

...So is it possible to lend out the can, then?

That is correct. I will be lending out my can to those who need it including yourself. I will only need to know of your location to have it sent there.

Hmm, well, I should be in Ecruteak in...a few days, most likely. [stupid caves.]
