Trump Voters in Michigan's U.P.

The Times has a magazine piece about how Trump may be losing voters in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, though many are sticking with him.  Here's the nut graf I found (and I do mean "nut"):

I'd say that this is just another person saying the quiet part out loud, but the last four years has been nothing but right-wing voters making racist remarks and either claiming they're joking or that minorities are just looking to be offended. There is no quiet part. It's racists all the way down.
